ENERGY PASTE FOR DOGS WHO HAVE INCREASED NUTRITIONAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM THROUGH ACTIVITIES IN TRAINING OR SPORTING COMPETITIONS
CelerVis Pet® delivers “ready-to-use energy”!
The effects and advantages of CelerVis Pet® – NEW 2024 Energy Paste:
Cordyceps sinensis
Ganoderma lucidum
CelerVis Pet® Energy Paste is a supplementary feed for dogs in paste form. It is especially suitable for dogs that are subjected to high levels of stress due to work or sporting activity. The energy paste can be fed as a preparatory measure during the training phase, on the day of exercise, and in the days following exercise to promote recovery.
The ingredients, specially formulated to support the animal's energy needs, provide "ready-to-use energy" that is quickly metabolized and readily available to support the dog's activity. High-quality and perfectly balanced ingredients provide your dog with the best possible support for optimal performance.
CelerVis Pet® Energy Paste can also be used to strengthen weakened dogs, dogs recovering from illness or surgery, bitches in the final days of pregnancy and during lactation, and even weakened puppies.
Ingredients and their effects:
AMINO ACIDS
L-CARNITINE
is an important nutrient for animal health: It has the fundamental function of transporting essential fatty acids. Without L-carnitine, the fatty acids could not be converted into energy, which is necessary for normal daily activities and, in working dogs, for performance and the proper functioning of the immune system. L-carnitine makes the fatty acids "ready for use" as an energy source. L-carnitine also protects and supports joints and cardiovascular functions.
Taurine
is found as a free amino acid in animal tissues, particularly abundant in meat, poultry, fish, and shellfish. It can be synthesized from methionine and cysteine in most mammals, but deficiency can easily occur, especially in active animals. This potential deficiency leads to a series of changes affecting the conjugation of bile acids, resulting in reduced absorption of vitamins and fats (and thus a reduced intake of an energy source). Taurine deficiency can lead to symptoms such as retinal strain (central retinal degeneration) with possible vision loss, or heart problems (dilated cardiomyopathy) with reduced muscle contractility and resulting heart failure.
L-LEUCINE
is one of the essential branched-chain amino acids and must therefore be obtained through food, as the body cannot synthesize it. It is important for growth and muscular endurance (it biosynthesizes proteins beneficial for the physiological well-being of muscles). L-Leucine stimulates protein synthesis, supports metabolism, and is a primary source of energy during periods of stress due to exertion (work and sports).
L-valine
is an essential component of protein biosynthesis and, together with leucine, is essential for proper energy production. It performs important functions in muscle nutrition. L-valine extracts energy from food and can mobilize endogenous protein reserves. It is also important for mental functions, nerve function, and muscle coordination, among other functions in the body.
CREATINE
is chemically known as a non-protein nitrogen compound, meaning it contains nitrogen but no protein. It is involved in the energy supply of muscles by absorbing ADP and converting it back into ATP to make it available for energy production. Therefore, creatine administration increases the availability of usable energy at the muscle level. High availability of creatine and ATP prevents glycolysis (the use of sugar as an energy source), which leads to the accumulation of lactic acid and nitrogenous waste and, more generally, to muscle fatigue. Creatine also promotes better utilization of protein during muscle contraction, thereby increasing the volume and density of muscle mass.
VITAMINS
Vitamins are bioregulators and are of great importance because, along with other molecules, they are involved in all physiological processes, both directly and indirectly through enzyme mechanisms. Based on their solubility, they are divided into fat-soluble (dissolving in fats) and water-soluble (dissolving in water). Vitamins do not accumulate in the body, so it is important to consume them daily through food. All vitamins perform specific functions, and a deficiency can lead to fatigue or functional impairment.
VITAMIN B6
Pyridoxine is commonly found in foods, particularly wheat, flour by-products, animal meal, and seed germ. Before being excreted from the body, it is converted into pyridoxal and pyridoxamine, the basic components of two coenzymes. They participate in enzymatic reactions involving amino acid conversion and the transfer of amino groups (transamination). It also supports the production of antibodies in the blood and the synthesis of fat from amino acids. Vitamin B6 is essential for the proper functioning of the immune and nervous systems. Pyridoxine is generally produced by the intestinal flora, but not always in sufficient quantities to meet daily needs; therefore, it is obtained through food.
VITAMIN B12
Cobalamin is not found in vegetables. It is found in liver extracts and various foods of animal origin (fish meal, meat meal, and whey), and is part of the APF (animal protein factor) complex. It is the most important vitamin, essential for growth and hematopoiesis (red blood cell formation – essential for oxygen distribution). Vitamin B12 is essential for the synthesis of nucleic acids, which are involved in protein metabolism, choline and methionine synthesis, and especially in lipid and glycidic acid synthesis, as well as catalyzing various enzymatic reactions. Therefore, it is necessary for protein metabolism, proper functioning of the nervous system, and mucosal regeneration. However, it is primarily needed as a natural energy source for all cells.
Niacin,
vitamin PP or vitamin B3, is found in herbs, hay, and components of feed concentrates (bran, flour, etc.). Vitamin B3 is a component of the CoA molecule, which transports acyl groups in ß-oxidation reactions of fatty acids, in fatty acid synthesis reactions, and in the oxidation of pyruvic acid. It determines the acetylation of choline, which, in the form of acetylcholine, is the chemical mediator in the transmission of nerve impulses at the level of synapses between neurons. It is a vitamin that inhibits the oxidation of proteins and lipids, thus reducing the production of free radicals.
Pantothenic acid
is a water-soluble vitamin (also called vitamin B5 or calcium D-pantothenate) that is found in varying amounts in almost all plant and animal foods. Foods rich in vitamin B5 include legumes and organ meats, as well as egg yolks, dried mushrooms, and brewer's yeast. Like coenzymes, it is also involved in the synthesis of enzymes that catalyze various metabolic reactions of carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins. Pantothenic acid promotes the synthesis of unsaturated fatty acids and exerts a trophic effect. It therefore supports the nervous system, growth, and development, and prevents fatigue.
TRACE ELEMENTS
Trace elements are essential for animal nutrition. An important aspect is that, unlike other nutrients, they cannot be synthesized by the animal. Therefore, trace elements must be fed in sufficient quantities to meet the animal's needs. They protect the animal through their components in cooperation with numerous enzymes and play an important role in regulating animal metabolism. Furthermore, some of them act as enzyme activators and are involved in the production of hormones and vitamins.
Iron
is one of the most important trace elements. Approximately 60–70% is found in hemoglobin, but smaller amounts are found in myoglobin and in reserve organs such as the liver, spleen, and bone marrow. It is absorbed almost exclusively in the duodenum. It functions in the intestinal epithelium with a protein structure, forming a chromoprotein called ferritin. Iron is involved in oxygen transport and is partially absorbed by hemoglobin and cytochromes. It participates in the formation of the enzyme succinic dehydrogenase. It promotes the formation of red blood cells and ensures proper oxygenation of all tissues, thus promoting the physiological and correct functioning of all body systems. For example, proper oxygenation of muscles promotes contraction of so-called "aerobic" muscles. It prevents fatigue during continuous exercise due to the accumulation of substances such as lactic acid. Iron stimulates liver function, also plays a role in defense against disease, and is essential for maintaining the efficiency of the immune system. It is also important to prevent the deficiency of cellular enzymes, which are essential for cell life and energy production.
PLANT EXTRACTS
Today, herbs and medicinal plants are used to maintain the well-being of humans and animals. They can be used as they are in cooking, as spices, in the preparation of herbal teas, or, using specific processes, in the production of food supplements, veterinary products, cosmetics, and other products. For all medicinal plants, the part used (leaves, flowers, seeds, bark, roots, etc.) is called the "drug." Our products contain the phytocomplex, a set of multiple active ingredients that characterize the properties of plants and cannot be reproduced through chemical synthesis. The synergistic action of the active ingredients of the phytocomplex guarantees a series of immediate effects that only work in combination and not as individual components.
MACA ROOT
: Maca (Lepidium meyeni) is a plant in the Brassicaceae family. Also known as Andean ginseng, its roots contain key nutrients essential to the body. It is rich in essential amino acids (such as isoleucine, lysine, methionine, tryptophan, valine, threonine, and phenylalanine – which make up about 10%), mineral salts (iron, manganese, zinc, calcium, and phosphorus), vitamins, carbohydrates, fatty acids, and fiber. The plant's composition makes it a complete and healthy natural product. Thanks to these components, maca improves response to stress, fatigue, and endurance. These invigorating and energizing properties are due to its effect on glycogenesis (the production of glucose from energy reserves) during physical activity. The presence of amino acids important for muscle function supports muscle mass, making it a suitable supplement for activities involving high energy expenditure and muscular exertion. Maca root is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, and the B vitamin complex, as well as calcium, iron, and zinc. Maca also has a positive effect on the nervous system.
ALFALFA
Medicago sativa is a herbaceous plant belonging to the Fabaceae (or Leguminosae) family, native to Asia Minor. Also known as Erba Spagna or alfalfa, alfalfa has been traditionally used as a tonic due to its naturally rich nutritional value. For example, its deep roots (up to 15 meters deep) allow it to reach and absorb minerals that other plants cannot. It also contains various digestive enzymes (beneficial for digestion and the resulting absorption of nutrients), phytoestrogens, various flavonoids (with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects), glucosides, alkaloids, amino acids, vitamins A, C, D, E, and K, mineral salts, and significant amounts of chlorophyll. The plant is therefore used to treat fatigue and weakness, during convalescence, in cases of stress, and for sporting and working dogs. The active ingredients of alfalfa plant extract also help other nutrients in the body to be better processed.
NEW: IMPROVED FORMULA – now with the addition of
Medicinal mushrooms
Medicinal mushrooms (also called medicinal mushrooms) are mushrooms that are used for their therapeutic properties because they contain bioactive compounds that can have a positive effect on the health of dogs and cats.
Cordyceps sinensis (Chinese caterpillar fungus)
is a medicinal mushroom that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries. It has recently gained popularity in the West due to its potential health benefits. Cordyceps sinensis is valued, among other things, for improving athletic performance.
Cordyceps sinensis can offer several benefits for the health of our four-legged friends:
- Immune system support
- Improved physical performance: Cordyceps sinensis has the ability to increase strength, physical endurance, and muscle recovery after exertion by faster elimination of lactic acid. - Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties GANODERMA LUCIDUM (Shiny lacquer polypore) Ganoderma lucidum, also known as REISHI, is a medicinal mushroom that has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for centuries.
Ganoderma lucidum can offer our four-legged friends various health benefits:
Ganoderma lucidum is often used as a tonic to increase energy and vitality. It can
be beneficial for older dogs or dogs recovering from illness.
– Effects on the nervous system:
increases cognitive abilities and acts profoundly to rebalance psychophysical well-being.
Ganoderma lucidum allows for better oxygenation of the tissues, thus improving respiratory functions. Germanium is an element not very abundant in nature, and the mushroom has the ability to absorb it and metabolize it in its cells. The high concentration of organic germanium and other compounds present in the mushroom improves the absorption of oxygen in the alveoli and its transport to the body's cells. It is also very useful for improving athletic performance, as it increases physical capacity, reduces fatigue, and allows for faster recovery.
VEGETABLE OILS
Vegetable oils belong to the family of fats. Although one might imagine that fat is "bad," this statement is not true. This is especially true in cases where fats are derived from plants and perform important functions in the organism, beneficial for the proper functioning of the body. In fact, there are high-quality, healthy vegetable fats, and there are special reasons for including them in the diet of dogs, as they play an essential role in the health of our animals. Firstly, fats provide energy—almost twice as much energy as carbohydrates and proteins. When energy is not immediately needed, fats are not immediately consumed but are stored and form energy reserves that can be used as needed. They also play a crucial role in the synthesis and utilization of fat-soluble vitamins such as A, D, E, and K; they help maintain heat and provide mechanical protection by supplying nutrients to the musculoskeletal system.
FLAXSEED OIL
is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and the well-known "good linseed fats," which are essential for every dog's diet. Omega-3 fatty acids are important lipids for health and fundamental for metabolic reactions and proper cellular function. Both omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids are essential fatty acids that the body cannot produce itself and must be supplied through food. Of all foods, linseed oil has the highest content of approximately 57% of the total amount of omega fatty acids, with an even ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids of approximately 1 to 4. It also contains other beneficial ingredients such as lignans (with powerful antioxidant functions), B and E vitamins, lecithin (an essential substance that supports the function of the nervous system and brain), minerals, mucilage, and soluble fiber. The addition of linseed oil in supplementary feed provides ready-to-use energy while exerting its antioxidant effect.
Soybean oil
is rich in various important nutrients, such as polyunsaturated fatty acids (such as linseed oil, especially Omega 3 and Omega 6, in varying concentrations), vitamin B6, and vitamin E. Therefore, the use of vegetable oils as a source of fatty acids is important. The acids they contain perform important functions such as serving as energy sources, aiding vitamin absorption, playing a role in growth and development, maintaining good health (including skin and coat), and modulating the inflammatory response (as an antioxidant). Soybean oil is an excellent energy source for active dogs in the working or sporting environment, as well as for weakened animals.

Expert tip:
Instructions for use for sporting and working dogs:
Preparation:
To properly prepare your dog for exercise, it's recommended to start administering the supplement one week before the event. This way, your dog will build up energy reserves, which it can use when needed. The dosage can be increased the day before exercise.
Day of exercise (performance):
On the day of exercise, always after a one-week prior administration, it is recommended to administer the supplement both 6 hours before and 10-15 minutes immediately before exercise. This allows the dog not only to utilize the stored energy but also to receive an additional energy boost – just before it is actually needed.
Weakened dogs / recovery after performance:
In this case, the dog should be given the additional energy it needs over a specific, limited period of time to enable it to recover more quickly.
We recommend feeding this continuously for a period of 15 days, following the ideal dosage as per the instructions for use.
