BLACKCURRANT (RIBES NIGRUM)

is a natural antihistamine that is highly effective in preventing and combating allergy problems. Similar to cortisone, it works by stimulating the body to produce cortisol. This is a hormone that acts on the immune system and acts as a counterbalance to histamine. This stops or slows down the allergic reaction to blackcurrants. Furthermore, Ribes Nigrum is able to stimulate the adrenal cortex to ensure the body produces adrenal steroids with anti-inflammatory effects. The latter are also able to temporarily inhibit the action of the immune system during an allergic reaction. It therefore acts as an immunomodulator. Ribes Nigrum contains a lot of vitamin C, which serves to strengthen the immune system, which plays a key role in an allergy situation.

VIOLA TRICOLOR

also called wild pansy – contains flavonoids, saponins and mucilages that contribute to the promotion of normal skin function.

BLACK CUMMIN (NIGELLA SATIVA)

Nigella sativa seeds have high nutritional value. They contain solid and essential oils, proteins, alkaloids, and saponins. It has been shown that a large part of the biological activity of black cumin seeds (particularly their positive effect on the immune system) is due to thymequinone, the main component of essential oils, but also present in fats (Pharmacological and Toxicological Properties of Nigella Sativa, BH Ali, Gerald Blunden).

Polyunsaturated fatty acids (sunflower seed oil and blackcurrant seed oil)

Sunflower oil and blackcurrant seed oil are a good source of omega-6 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA). In particular, both contain a good amount of linoleic acid. Blackcurrant seed oil is particularly rich in gamma-linolenic acid, tocopherols and phytosterols. Polyunsaturated fatty acids have special dietary and functional properties. Several studies have shown that the use of omega-3 and omega-6 PUFAs is very useful for the most common skin conditions, such as dermatoses.

FISH OIL

many studies have shown that omega-3 fatty acids, of which fish oil is particularly rich, have beneficial effects on the skin and coat of dogs and make the coat shinier (Reactions of dogs to omega-3 fatty acids from food, John E. Bauer).

Feeding instructions:

Administer orally twice a day initially, then once a day after a few days, depending on the animal's weight.

• Dogs from 10 to 20 kg body weight: 4 ml
